These Marrow Spoon Priests have been on the circuit for a long time in the fly fishing world and are still such a great accessory to have in your tackle bag or box. For the benefit of newcomers to this great sport, the marrow spoon can be fitted in such a way that it is held inside the dual functional body of the priest, out of the way, when using the tool in the priest capacity, which can be used quickly and humanely to dispatch the anglers quarry. By unscrewing the threaded end post, the marrow spoon part of the tool can be taken out, turned around and screwed in, in reverse and then becomes a marrow spoon with a balanced handle. This is then inserted in to the dead fishes mouth with the marrow spoon in the correct position to be able to collect the contents of the fishes stomach.
A good tip is that it is a good idea to mark the tool in such a way that when the marrow end is spooned that you know when and where you have turned it 360 degrees and have the contents in the spoon to be able to work out what your quarry is feeding upon.
