Cortland WF 444 Clear Intermediate Fly Line

The 90ft Cortland 444 weight forward (WF) clear intermediate is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. This very popular fly line sports a front welded loop and has a sink rate of 1.5 to 2 inches per second. The ideal line when the fish are just under the surface feeding.  

The very popular Intermediate features an overall thin diameter with a braided nylon multifilament core that remains supple in the coldest conditions. The 444 Clear Intermediate was designed for fishing clear, pressured bodies of water. The transparent body remains virtually invisible in clear water providing an effective way to approach the spookiest fish feeding under the surface.

The Clear is one of three Intermediate Cortland lines that we stock. We also have the Ice blue intermediate which is available in sizes #5 to #8 inclusive, and the clear camo intermediate also in sizes #5,#6,#7, and #8.

We ask you chose the first class tracked 24 with Royal Mail which costs an extra £1.60.  This ensures your line is njot only tracked but insured to the full value.

To compliment the range, we stock the 444 Peach floating and the Cortland Ghost tips lines in 3 ft, 5ft and 15 ft clear sink tip. For sinking lines Cortland have the type three which sinks at 3 inch per second therefore the equivalent of a DI3 and the type six at sink rate 6 inches per second, is the equivalent of a DI6.
