The Stonfo 723 CDC feathers block
A very clever and simple idea to help the dry fly tier with cul de cunard feathers. These feathers are known to be a little tricky to tie and lots of fly fishermen venturing in to fly tying have a nightmare with them. The feathers, as most will know, are found round the ducks preen gland on its rear end, unfortunately these feathers are very soft and fairly difficult to handle. The CDC tool is a well made plastic block, which is equipped with three anti skid rubber feet, has grooves of different lengths to locate and then easily fold the CDC feathers in to. You just have to insert the quill of the feather inside the groove of the right length to carry out the proceedure. We suggest the tier uses the CDC Feathers Block in combination with the Hair Clips (Stonfo 634) which are available in our other listings, which helps work with the feathers a bit easier.
