Veniards have packaged these high density foam tubes in such a way that it enables cheaper postage keeping costs for the fly tier to a minimum. We can post them large letter first class and as always can be dispatched same day as your purchase if paid for before 3pm on any working day. There are eleven different mixed colours in a pack, and there are ten of each colour including all the popular colours. Tied in correctly you should be able to get two sets of booby eyes out of each tube which equates to the possiblitlity of a packet being able to produce at least 220 flies. That seems great value for the money. There are various videos on youtube etc showing how to tie these tubes on to the hook. There are also tutorials that suggest that heating them in the oven for a short duration of time rounds the ends nicely making it look a much better fly. Please be aware that if you go down that route you will find that the flies will not float as well as if they were used conventionally and finished with a pair of sharp scissors. Some tiers use a lighter to round the ends over which seems to be more successful.
